Actually, the author did not write - desire the sincere milk.
He wrote - the logical, NOT (deceit,guile,subtle,wiley,fraud,treachery) milk, long you, for.
Greek words - (adolon gala)
a dolon gala
(no,not) (deceit,quile,subtle,wiley,fraud,treachery) (milk)
Peter is trying to make you aware of (deceitful,quile,subtle,wiley,fraudulent,treacherous) milk.
Is, "sincere" the same as, not deceitful, not quile, not subtle, not wiley, not fraudulent, or not treachery - milk?
Scripture versions read as if he is saying only to drink, sincere milk.
King James VERSION used, "guile" for dolon in 1 Peter 2:1, but used, "sincere" for adolon(no guile) in 2:2.
There are multitudes of sites, and plenty of counsel available, for you to drink all the deceitful,
and wiley milk, that you could ever want to sustain yourself.
DOLOS = name of Greek god of deceit.
Peter is saying - YOU, long for the logical, undeceitful milk, that, in it -
YOU may be grown.
Peter takes it so much futher.
He is telling you to - SEARCH FOR TRUTH - and to avoid - deceit.
Logical = reasoning of God's WORD.
